When I was looking I tried two differnt 60 watt line 6 amps and they sounded ok. I also tried the AVT 50 which sound about the same. The clean on the Line 60 sounded alot better than the vs100 for some reason.
Price: $350.00
Where Obtained: Guitar Center
Features:
3 channels- clean, overdrive 1 and 2. -has foot controller -seperate eq and reverb for clean and od. 100 watts
Sound Quality:
I use a Gibson sg special sounds great but it sounded better with the les paul I was using when i was trying it out. Distortion is very good and has wide range. The clean does not sound quite as good on my gibson sg special
Ease of Use:
You can look at it for a couple minutes and understand how to adjust volume etc.
Durability:
This amp is used and looks like its been used alot but still in pretty good condition. It still sounds good.

The only other amp of this size i would even consider buying would be a line6 spider, kicks a-- over every other brand of its class and could only be better with the features of a line6 spider. the best aspect of this unit is the mega-heavy sound im getting and the ability to do funk in clean tone. what more could you need if it can do both ends of the music category scale without effects. i got great value for what i paid. this amp stands up to un amplified drums perfectly, would probably reqiure PA assistance in front of an audience but thats what a quad box would/could fix. i couldnt have got a better amp for the price i paid and i love the amp. but once again is only really a beginners amp
Model Year: 1996
Price: $580.00 australian
Where Obtained: freind
Features:
Features bass, mid & treble for clean tone and both distortions with reverb for clean & dist. has FXmix and power dimension switches. comes with all channel footswitch, has FX loop jacks, emulated jack, two speaker jacks (one for the one in the amp) and is a tube amp.
Sound Quality:
Brilliant sounding amp for its size with a clean tone which barely distorts at high (enough) volume, distortion 1 is average but suits a low gain "rock" criteria while dist. 2 is one of the better souding thrash distortions, VERY crunchy & clear. out of amps this size you wont find too much better for its price. this is probably one the best of its class. slight hum at high volume in distortion. distortion 2 is good and tight sounding enough for a metal/thrash , compressed sound that will leave you feeling effects are desired not required. generally suits any type of music with distortion and clean tone ie;rock, metal, alternative. with effects the amp can only get better.
Ease of Use:
Incredibly user freindly, not programmable. within 5 mins youll have the sound you want and probably never change it.
Durability:
NEVER had a problem. sturdy enough to live through a war
