Like most things it's a matter of personal opinion. I love the way this thing sounds.

If it was lost or stolen I would buy another.

There isn't much more I can say really. It is so simple, with no extra's. So you either like the sound or you don't. If anything it's at least worth checking out.
Model Year: 2001
Where Obtained: Peter Cooks Guitar World
Features:
The features are very basic: 1. 2 large knobs - Level & Overdrive. 2. AC powered and battery. 3. No tubes! Just an input and output.
Sound Quality:
I think it's excellent. The overdrive is warm and smooth. I have always found that using a simple sound ie just overdrive and reverb sounded thin. So I used to add other effects to pad out the sound. Then when I played fast the sound all mushed up. However, when I use the 250 with just reverb I get a full sound that just blows me away. My two favourite sounds are Satriani's and Malmsteen's. Their sound is gorgious. So if you want to know how this pedal sounds - listen to a malmsteen tune. Also on the malmsteen site their is some information on getting his sound using the DOD 250 and a Line 6 POD, which is pretty good. Oh, and there's a sound bite of how this set up sounds as well, if you're curious.
Ease of Use:
Can't really go wrong. Two knobs and a button is it!
Durability:
Haven't had it long. But it looks and feels like a tank. So it should last forever.
