Just buy it... it's a great P'up!

It's a pickup... not many features...
Well, it's a humbucking single coil sized pickup, with Alnico 5 magnets, 93 MV output, and 23.72K DC Resistance.
The sound is that of warmth without a glaring high-end - just right for the guitar that needs more body and less screech. Very impressive.
Like I've already said I like the violin tone, the odd scream and a crisp sound. These pickups seem to do the job really well.
Worth checking out next time you see a Malmsteen strat hanging on the wall of your local music shop.

Ok It's used in my Malmsteen Strat in both the neck and the bridge positions. Standard stock pickup is in the middle.
HS3's are passive pickups that have a single coil. Suprisingly low output.
If you want to know how these sound, have a listen to Malmsteen. Just to be clear on this issue - I did not buy this guitar because I'm crazy about Malmsteen. I do however love his sound (violin type of tone).
The pickup is fairly quite - as already mentioned. So if there being used in conjunction with other pickups, you may have to make some adjustments to the height.
I love the sound of these pickups. They are quiet, yet crank up the overdrive/distortion and you can get a good scream out of them.
Styles? I think they sound good for all styles. They offer a very clear, crisp sound that doesn't get too muddy and that holds its tone through the clean channel.
Durability??!!??!! Well they're still working. Made by DiMarzio, used by professionals so they should certainly hold their own.
