It plays like a dream..I chose this guitar ovewr everything I played over a good two year search for a guitar with no $ limits in my head ..It played and sounded great I had to take it with me! TRUE
Price: $2400.00 australian$ (new)
Where Obtained: Guitar Shop
Features:
The Heartfield Talon 5 series guitar I own is definatly the best guitar I play...And considering I've played guitar for over 25 yrs and have axes ranging from strats &tele's and having owned a lot of other quality guitars it rates high. also having worked for Maton guitars making quality guitars I do know my stuff when it comes to quality and playability. Though a plain looking guitar in the vain of an Ibanez Jem, and might I say not very different in build quality, Mine is Black, Rock maple neck 2 piece (joined @stock) Rosewood fret board with sharktooth shaped pearl inlays ash or alder body I haven't striped it yet? flyod Rose Pro tremelo dimarzio humbucker front dimarzio single centre I put a EMG humbecker in the back though I Rare use it not split with the centre single coil. Speaking of which is the pickup I use for all my soloing and power chords It has a beutiful tone and sustain and just pick up all those harmonics so nicley. It came with a Heartfield by fender flightcase with heartfield moulded in it.It's playability it impecable to any guitars standards, and I've played them all. want to know more email me
Playability:
Sound Quality:
The tone of a heartfield IS limitless from shred metel to jazz, folky chords I even get a nice country twang sound direct from the guitar I think if you can use pickup selection combination volume and tone controls to the fullest most guitars should be this versitile, its amazing how much tone difference you get by turning down the guitar and turning up the amp try it you might just find that tone your looking for just by messing with different volume settings without actually turning up!
Durability:
The guitar doesn't know how to go out of tune ..with a floyd rose pro locking system and a good set up it shouldn't either. If yopu own a car you tune it right!!? well I own a guitar too and it gets regularly tuned(setup)etc It fares well and will be around for a long time because of that very reason!

Where Obtained: Uncle
Features:
The neck is a wizard style maple with rosewood topping. It isnt curved like a strat, rather it is straight and extremely fast. It has 22 frets, Floyd Rose tremelo with H-S-H humbuckers. Im trying to find out how much it books for.
Playability:
I play mostly classical based metal. I feel uncomfortable playing anything else.
Sound Quality:
I use a Marshall 30w solid state. My processor is a digitech RP12. Im considering putting a Lynch Screamin Demon on the bridge(seymore duncan).
