I use it often and it has helped me figure out songs because I can look and each detail as it goes by. Creating loops is also helpfull to practice tough song parts. It is very reliable and has never crashed. It's suited for all playing levels since you can load any song you like.
I have not used a similar product, just programs to create tabs but nothing comes close to how complete this SW is.

It is a very useful application that combines many features. You can create midis o listen to midis and switch among different views at the same time. You can look at each instument's track, staff view, audio view, a piano roll view, an event view, meter key view, a virtual fretboard with indications of the notes being playes, everything. It is a very complete application.
It is not easy to understand out of the box but every time you fool around with it it gets less and less complicated.
I have learned over two years to effectively use this software and find it to be an invaluable learning resource. I can write, mix, record and play almost anything I like. Standard loop and tempo controls mean that I can slow down some of the most outstanding lead breaks and learn step-by-step.
