The Man From Utopia

by Frank Zappa

(1983) Rykodisc #D2 74245

Personnel Too many to name them all, but features Steve playing "impossible guitar parts (on strat and acoustic)"
Description This collection is a pretty well-rounded Zappa disc, offering everything from bathroom humor to political commentary and '50s blues/soul/doo-wop.

I love this album! It's got a little of everything a Zappaphile needs.

For guitar fanatics, this album is important for being the original showcase for Steve Vai's "talking guitar" technique. Mr Vai is also featured as lead in the complicated instrumental Moggio.

Whether your a fan of Zappa or a fan of Vai, you'll probably groove on this.
