This was my first Gatton CD. I bought it shortly after seeing Danny on Austin City Limits and wondering why I'd never heard of him before. About half of the songs are instrumental, stylistically jumping all over the place. The songs with vocals are great, too. "Thirteen Women" has to be one of my favorite songs of all time now.

Danny's sophmore release for this label features some of the greatest unknown players for support. Shannon Ford grooves on the drums while long time bassist John Previti holds the bottom on the opening cut "Funhouse". And through out the album Bill Holloman is the one man horn section blowing trumpet and saxophone. Truly an amazing player. The "Sun Medley" features the great Delbert McClinton on vocals. Good Album...
