Never worked longer than a few hours and one of the two channels would start dropping out and needed to be repaired. And that always took a week. When it works it sounds great and very sweet.

I didnt transport it much except to take in to get repaired but it seemed durable and very sturdy. A bit heavy to carry around. 70 lbs.

I chose this one becuase i saw that it had alot of power but not too much that i didn't need. It also had enough different sounds that i like. There is alot of power and alot of different sounds. I would buy this amp again if it were lost or stolen. It has been great and i havn't been displeased about it. My favorite aspect of this amp is the range of sounds i can get out of it. From mellow to twangy, i can play just about any kind of music on it.

I use a fender strat with this amp, if you like alot of sound and good distortion this is the amp you need, the musical style that would fit this amp is metal, rock, but mostly i use it to play punk. Compared to my 15 watt VOX amp This crate blows it out of the water but you can't realy compare them together. There is not alot of noise at low volumes but at high there is some but not a whole lot. if you get to close to the amp with you guitar there is some high squeeling. THe distortion is very good. It can be very distorted or close to clean distorted, You can make the distortion to any kind of your liking.
Ease of Use:
It mainly is just used for being loud and used for distortion or rythem. It is very easy to use and is not hard to switch from alot of different sounds.
Durability:
It is very durable, even though it weighs 50 lbs or more i pack it around with me when i go and jam with some friends, it has held up with alot of banging around in cars. So far i havn't had to repair or re-tube it, I have had for almost a year. it has heavy duty construction

I was never a Crate fan, but I fell in love with this one. I'd been looking for a good tube amp with a vintage tone for about 6 months. I was at the point of having a custom amp built to get the sound I wanted. Glad I found this one. For a beautiful warm tone, this amp is perfect.
Model Year: 2000
Price: $540.00 (new)
Where Obtained: Galaxy Music, Kalamazoo, MI
Features:
Channel A has volume, treble, bass, and reverb. Channel B has gain, treble, mid, bass, level, and reverb.
Sound Quality:
I use it with a Calafornia Fat Strat and a standard Strat. Both sound great with it. The clean channel breaks up around 5, very responsive to pick pressure. Reminds me of a '59 Bassman. The gain channel goes from slight overdrive to fully distorted. Excellent overdriven sound. Works well for blues and rock.
Ease of Use:
Just a tube amp. Can't get much simpler.
Durability:
I've only had it about 4 months. No problems so far.
