by Aerosmith

(1976) Columbia #WCK 57363

Personnel Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, Brad Whitford, Tom Hamilton, Joey Kramer
Description Another 70's classic from Aerosmith. Aptly follows where they left off from their previous album, 'Toys in the Attic'.

I can recall going to Nags Head when this album came out & going to a friend of a friend's house & hearing this album. I was into concept rock ( genesis, gentle giant, yes) at the time & shunning this stuff. Since have come to appreciate good rock, since there is very little these days. "back n the saddle" is a kick tune. Aerosmith is probably the best of the surviving bands from the 70's. They kick the Stones clean off the map.

As far as I'm concerned, this is THE Aerosmith album.

In the tradtion of Aersomith we have rockers, grooves, FM formats, ballad, etc., with no surprises.   The album begins with the classic, 'Back in the Saddle' and segues right into 'Last Child'. What follows is a blistering 'Rats in the Cellar', which never loses speed.   One of my favourite Aerosmith tunes is 'Sick as a Dog', co-written by Tom Hamilton.   I recommend this album for any rock fans.   Here is a link to lyrics & sound clips for this album --> Clicky Clicky
