I love this guitar now. Its not a 335, its not any other gibson than a 325. Its in its own. Price of this guitar, makes it fantastic, altho it seems to be fairly rare find in stores now. they only made this guitar from like 1972 to 1976. Everyone hated the black cover plate, I am told

Walnut finish, with the old black plastic guard where the high side f slot should be. 2 mini humbuckers, all original.
You can set this guitar up with a terrific action, the neck is fantastic thin electric neck. I played this guitar off and on for a year, with a dean markley amp. I began to hate the sound and started looking for another gibson , IE 335 dot. Until I found a good deal on a newer showman,(new model all in one cabinet), almost like the old twin reverb. And then I fell in love with this guitar all over again.
See playability. This guitar has its own unique sound. Which if you like it, you will like it over the 335 dot. The price of this guitar, versus other gibson electrics makes this the only choice if you like its sound(Remmeber, play it on a fender tube amp to get the right sound this guitar produces)
So far so good, there is absolutely nothing wrong with this guitar. However, when i got the guitar, I noticed one of the screws on the black plastic cover plater was routed out, and wouldnt stay. SOmeone had put some putty like substance on the hole. I took it to a well known luthier and for about 30 bucks, he put some small maple blocks behind all the screw holes. Its great now. Also, if you havent reinforced the holes on the black plastic cover plater, dont use a straight in chord, you will pull the screws out. Use an angle chord to attach to amp
Excellent beautiful sound and comfortable to play feels good in the hands
