Axis: Bold As Love

by Jimi Hendrix

MCA

Description Jimi's second album, came out in late 1967, the same year as "Are you Experenced?". Weird, and science fiction driven, but really good.

Great album. Little Wing soars,,,,Castles made me cry. Not as raw as the Experienced. Different engineer & production. Great but not as great as the 1st

In retrospective it could just as well have been called 'Essential Hendrix'.

A perfect one. Here you find some of the more beautiful Hedrix tunes: Spanish Castle Magic, Wait Until Tomorrow, Little Wing, Castles Made Of Sand, Bold As Love...

I think this album is ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT! I have not heard much other actual whole albums by Jimi. I have mostly MP3s, but this CD is REALY the business! It has everything, as someone said before, there is NO bad track. I mean ok, the first track is a BIT weird, but listen to Bold as Love! I mean when i first heard it, i thought WOW! It is AMAZING, my personal view is that track is Jimi's best! & of course there is Little Wing! Absolutely beautiful track! The are all excellent! I have no qualms at all about this track, as far as im concerned, all of the tracks are classic! There is of course FANTASTIC guitar playing on it too! Can the guitarist be compared to another player? lol! JIMI? COME ON! IF U LIKE HIM, BUY, LEND STEAL D/LOAD, do what you do, just GET THIS!

I have got to say, I like Axis more than Are you Experinced. 'Castles Made of Sand' might be my favorite Jimi song.

Axis was the second album by Jimi, and I think the best. It has everything an album would need, with loud metal sounding songs like "Spanish Castle Magic", jazzy songs like "Up From the Skies", funky songs like "Ain't no Telling", sad sounding songs like "Little Wing" and "Castles Made of Sand", then there's the title song which is wonderfull. In fact there is not one bad song on this whole album. Axis is great, I suggest buying it enthusiactly.
