Overall Rating:
My dad bought it, but I like it alot. I would buy it again if it was stolen, as it is a wonderfull guitar. It is perfect I can't think of any thing to put on it. The best aspect is it, is its simpleness, and you can get alot of kick a-- sound out of it.
Model Year: 1999
Price: $1500.00 (new)
Where Obtained: Musicians Friend
Features:
A basic 6 string solid body guitar with no frills. One tone and one volume control with one double pick-up.
Playability:
I have the action on low, the third string buzzed, so I brought that up a notch. The neck is broad and very nice for solos. I've played a Startocaster too, and there are big differences, mostly in the way they feel, and in the way the neck feels. The Strat is very chunky, tis guitar is the opposite. There are no flaws noted.
Sound Quality:
I use it with a Rouge amp. The sounds i get are good through it. The musical styles this guitar fits are more like rock and such, its not chunky, and I would not suggest it forcountry or funk, all though jazz, and rock are good for it. The sound is very round, if you put some distortion it has a little darkness and metalness. The sound is very round and is very good for jazz, but if you get some distortion in it, it is very loud and heavy metal sounding.
Durability:
The whole thing is very reliable, because it is very simple, there isn't anything to screw up. Tuneing is very good, never had problems!
