Ovation CC059

Acoustic 6-String Guitar

Made by Ovation

Description This is a nylon string, acoustic/electric. I call it a hybrid--better action than a classical, slimmer neck and some mellow tone.

Well, I wasn't looking to spend a lot of money an a guitar, so for the price, I really can't complain. But, I will say this, it's good for a beginner or a someone that has the time spend perfecting the sound in the studio. The only thing though, the controls could be better.
Model Year: 2001

Playability:
The action is pretty good and the neck fits nicely into my hand.
Sound Quality:
I use it mostly for jazz, it could be used for Pop, R&B. It could be used in a studio like i do or for a small venue. For the price, I can't complain. It sounds good, but to get better sound quality in the studio, i record into a computer using either WaveLab or CoolEdit and mess around with the different effects within the software.
Durability:
I just got it, so it's left to be seen how duriable it is.

Looked at classicals and steel string acoustics. was just getting started playing. tried steel strings and while i liked the brighter tone i found nylon easier--and the callouses not so thick on the fingers.
