I looked at the ESP Ltd 7 string, can't remember the model number I chose this one becauser I knew it was the one whe I tried it out, it played the way I was lookin for I think this guitar could be better if it had a locking nut, and a Floyd Rose bridge my favorite aspect of this guitar is it's playability worst aspect is the bridge
Price: $299.00 (new)
Where Obtained: Surplus City, Visalia, CA
Features:
Made in Korea 24 jumbo frets, 7 strings 1 volume, 1 tone, a 3 way switch 2 humbucker pickups H/H passive electronics metallic red finish double cutaway
Playability:
I definately can get my preffered action on this guitar, It's great for metal and even classic rock! I love the neck on this guitar; most 7-string necks are very thick and this one is thin, very easy to play plays very well compared to other guitars, except for my limited edition Epiphone Les Paul I need a locking nut on it
Sound Quality:
I use a crate gfx-1200 head through a marshall cabinet and a DOD Thrash Master distortion Pedal Metal (hardcore, etc.) yes can play just about any style u want it to play sounds full and dark very good low end pickups are very sensitive no, can be used for both stage and studio
Durability:
Hell yeah!! very heavy duty intonation needs to be adjusted maybe once every 2 months, only cuz I'm anal retentive about it! I lost one knob that ws loose, but otherwise good no difference noticed
