Wish it had a footswitch, and it would be really cool as a bigger amp, or a slightly smaller one with a better speaker. Speaker ext jack is a really good feature.. and the spring reverb is a nice surpise.. this must be before all the effects went digital on the little amps.
Price: $40.00
Where Obtained: local pawn shop
Features:
Has bass, mid, treble.. switch on front for overdrive/clean.. spring reverb.. spkr out jack (8 Ohm) 15 watts.. headphone jack - its solid state
Sound Quality:
I use an Ibanez Blazer - 2 HB pickups - It distorts at high volume using the 8" speaker.. using a 12" speaker really helps tone at high volume! Overdrive is good for solid state - tone is a little bright.. found myself turning down the treble a bit more than usual. Clean is pretty good.. sort of like "Sultans' of Swing" Distorted is OK at lower Gain settings, gets a little thin at high gain setting.. but it has a lot of Gain! Using a 12" speaker helps a bit on clean and dirty..
Ease of Use:
Easy to use...
Durability:
Seems a little flimsy, but probably will last OK if you use an extension speaker, and only run it up to 7 or so on the volume with the ext. speaker. Probably can only go to 5 or so on the 8" speaker, but its pretty loud.
