I've looked at other cheap indonesian models and this one for the money is a safe pick. It is a low end guitar and a good deal for that type. I travel so this will be my travel guitar as my accoustic was getting some abuse even with the hard case.

This is an indonesian made Epiphone, Fat strat style guitar. Maple neck with rosewood fretboard. Alder body. 21 fret, 6 string. Two tone, one volume. S/S/H pickups, vintage sunburst finish
Playable out of the box but needs some fine sanding of the frets which were a little sharp on the edges. Action is good and quick
Used with a fender chorus for mostly blues playing with some pop. Good for almost any style of play and everyday use. I'm a beginner so this is fine for me, a more experienced player would want a genuine Fender. String buzz is a little annoying.
This is a good knock around guitar for everyday play. A professional would probably want a more upscale model. The instrument has a truss rod access on the upper and lower part of the neck (through the pickup hole) and rear adjustment pods. I've only had it a while but have taken from cold (20 degrees) to room temp and did well on the tuning.
