My Father's Face

by Leo Kottke

(1989) Private Music #2050-2-p

Description This recording like many of Kottke's previous works incorporates many pieces from earlier albums. Kottke is truly a gifted musician who produces great music whether it is on a 12 string or 6 string guitar.

The Kottke experience is one that takes you from where you are now and transports to wherever you would like to be. It is music that you can get lost in literally. My favorite pieces on this album are "The theme from 'The Rick and Bob Report'" and the classic "Mona Ray".

This recording is not the best piece of work in Kottke's arsenal but it is a good album nonetheless.
