A very nice package overall. This model is no longer in production, but is very similar to epiphones PR line.
Model Year: 1999
Price: $200.00
Where Obtained: Pawn shop
Features a Solid spruce top, Quality gotoh tuners, Alabone headstock logo and rosette, A shadow pre-amp/pickup system with 4 band EQ. All in all, a very well constructed and good looking package.
Sounds kinda drab unplugged, but it is a thin body cutaway, so that's to be expected. It shimmers plugged in though and the very effective eq allows you to dial in any sound you want.
The action was a bit high from the factory, easy fix though. Good innotation, and the cutaway allows for an easy 14th fret barre. I have no clue what this guitar went for retail... Gibson wouldnt even tell me, but the $200 I paid seems like an absolute steal to me.
Sounds dull and boring unplugged. Through my roland vga7 it sounds as beautiful or nasty as I want it to. The factory equipped electar 2000 pre amp/peizo is very versitile.
