This guitar is part of the Alvarez Professional series, and it looks and sounds professional. I was very lucky to stumble onto this model while checking out all of the small bodied guitars at a local proprietor. Once I played it, I was hooked and had to have one. Hypothetically losing it saddens me, so I won't even consider the possibility. Since I'm obligated to find a downside, I'll whine softly because a hardshell case wasn't included - but I already had one anyway. The very best part about this guitar is that I own it. Whee!!!!!! The PF90S is an absolutely gorgeous concert-sized guitar with a sound to match its looks. It features a solid Engelmann spruce top, scalloped braces, solid rosewood back-fingerboard-bridge, laminated rosewood sides, gold hardware, a glossy natural finish, maple/herringbone body binding, and abalone rosette.
This instrument is extremely playable for picking or strumming, thanks to a narrow neck & low action. It's hard to put down.
The solid top and back, and high quality hardware combine to produce a delicious tone. While this guitar especially shines in the treble range, it sounds great from top to bottom end and withstands hard strumming without breaking up.
The high quality workmanship invested by Alvarez in this gorgeous instrument is clear to anyone who sees or hears it.
