Martin, Gibson and fender oh yeh Yamaha, I was always electric and didn't want to pay alot for something I might not like, But I love it and it sounds great, gota love the acoustic Blues. It is a great starter guitar and you won't out grow it playing level wise in 6 months, I would have liked to have better tuners on it but hey for the money I can't complain
Model Year: 2004
Price: $95.00 (new)
Where Obtained: Musicians Friend
Features:
The guitar was made in Indonesia, it is all Mahogany construction, it is a 6 string acoustic with 20 frets. It comes in 3 colors, black, transparent red wine or natural mahogany and has sealed grover tuners. I got the Red wine finish.
Playability:
It is very playable and the action had to be adjusted after I put on new strings, I use extra light and I had to loosen the truss rod a little. It plays as good as any of my fried who has Martin,TaylorGibson all in the 300 to 500 dollar range. The tuners are cheap and sloppy and though it stays in tune well it takes time to get it there
Sound Quality:
Mostly I play it straight up but I have a Duncan Mavrick sound hole pick up I picked up a few months ago. I play thru a B-52 LG-100A half stack at home and a Marshall 30watt w/a 12inch when I go out to jam. I have a POD Line6 XT PRO live. It sounds better straight up a very nice sweet sound and has a good ring to the strings.
Durability:
It is a great starter guitar for the money but I wouldn't go on the road with it. I did have to adjust the truss rod after I lightened the strings and got a little buzz. But they give you an allen wrench and instructions if you need themand I was back in bussiness with no buzz. The intonation is pretty darn close from the factory, I checked this and left well enough alone. besides without a cutaway you won't be playing muchup past the 12 fret. great open chords and bar chords. the temp changes throw the tuning a little

I have played better acoustic guitars but in this price range you will not find a better deal!

Features:
Well worth the small price. Though it is made in China it is a sturdy guitar with smooth and easy playability right out of the box. And for only a hundred dollars you can't go wrong.
Playability:
The action is medium to low out of the box, and that is the way I like it. No adustments needed. The neck chords well at any point and is quite easy to play.
Sound Quality:
Bright... but I still have the factory strings on the guitar so I will have to experiment with different brands to find one I like for this particular guitar. But it does have a distinct brightness that might remind you of a Fender. Personally I like the tone.
Durability:
It seems to be made well, though I have only had it for a week. I can say that it does hold it's tune even after several songs. The gold plated tuners look, and seem like they are good quality.

For the money I think this guitar is the best deal I've ever seen. For $100 what do you have to lose? A great travel guitar with quality features.

This dreadnaught was made in Indoneisa. A musician and music store owner told me that Musicians Friend probably ordered more than they sold so they put them on a clearence sale for the low price. The mahogany body is beautiful and the gold tuners are real eye candy.
Playability:
The action from the box was good. I play a variety of styles and this baby performed above average on all of them.
Sound Quality:
This guitar boomed and was used as a standby and loner on open mic night. I used a Seymor Duncan Woody sound hole pick up on her and she responded super. Unplugged this baby performed great in music circles and just playing for me.
Durability:
She is a well built guitar and could hold her own in any setting. I live in Costa Rica and we have extreme swings in humidity. She held together through the wet season and the dry season with no complaints.

Buy one quick. If you dont like it shoot me an email. I will buy it from you and give it to a friend.
Model Year: 2002
Price: $180.00 (new)
Where Obtained: www.musiciansfriend.com
Features:
Excellent body and size. Some of my friends complain that they didnt buy it. The tuners are Brass and rarely need to be modified at all. The original strings lasted me approx 6 months playing constantly. I finally changed them over at that mark, but they still held the full range with no problems.
Playability:
Extremely easy playability. The original Strings were heavy, but they helped me strengthen up a little more. When I swapped them out to light strings, it actually became too easy to play them.
Sound Quality:
Full bodied sound. Vibrant and solid chords ring through with no problem.
Durability:
I play this guitar all the time. Work, play, watching movies at home. I Play this guitar on the Beach in the middle east. No problems at all ever.

I looked at fender dg-9 and a epiphone and a high priced gibson and this was the guitar that had all the better features at the unbelieveable low price.
Price: $149.99 (new)

Features:
Made in China, 20 fret, 6 string, natural finsh, gold tuners, a nice guitar this was my first one i ever had and after buying this one and then going back to the music store where i bought it and checked out the other guitars i could tell that i bought a good one. A nice full sound, very loud. Well made, a good looking guitar, it also comes in black. All and all its a great guitar for learners or masters.
Playability:
As much as i learned i can play anything on it from blues, rock, to alternative. A nice width in the neck, a lot of finger room. Plays as good as any other guitar in its price range and up to $300. As far as my friends and i see there are no flaws on this guitar.
Sound Quality:
Great sound very full and loud more warm than a dark sound.
Durability:
For playing on stage if you arent good at your chords yet then it will buzz on you. only one peg for the shoulder strap.
