Overall Rating:
The best guitar I ever have played, or will ever play.
Model Year: 1966
Price: $350.00 (new)
Where Obtained: Muscara Music in Belleville NJ in 1976
Features:
Made in Guild's factory in Hoboken, NJ in 1966. Emerald green with all gold plated hardware, including the Bigsby tremolo. Two soapbar pickups, main volume, three position pickup selector, two sets of tone and volume controls.
Playability:
Awesome guitar. My version of Excalibur. I was only 16 when I got it, and when I picked it up, I played better than I had ever played in my then short life.
Sound Quality:
I use it primarily for jazz and blues, and some rock. Usually no effects, just maybe a little reverb, maybe chorus, but that is it.
Durability:
Held up for 34 years so far...and looks like new.
