This is my product, so I hope to hear what other musicians think. But this has been a labor of love for over 15 years, and I'm very pleased with what it has become.
Price: $35.00 (new)

Suitable for all skill levels of guitarists
Features:
Chordware Progression Assistant is now version 7.7 with its 2007 release. It offers chord and scale list generators coupled with midi authoring tools. The chord and scale generators may be used separate from midi tools, and provide all the features that help you relate chords with scales, and can list extensions and variances of 1,2, or 3. Possible modulations can be listed by using input chords to filter output chords instead of scales. Midi tools aid composition by providing Arp and player controls that let you build original rhythm presets - although the sample file has 32 presets, and you can import midi. Presets may be stored into 128 possible player button locations, and may be replaced per channel by chords selected , or all channels at once. Replacements may be done with minimal change, or with dozens of optional variations. You can also replace with note voices selected on the keyboard. The keyboard can lookup and display a button playing, and provides editing controls. It will let you play notes by moving the pointer over them, and it will also let you add arpeggios simply by clicking in notes on the keyboard while a button plays - the added notes will repeat at corresponding points depending on how you divide the play button contents. Rhythm may be modified in a variety of ways using controls that apply algorithms to timing. Two buttons may play at once to mix selected channels, and the results may be stored in real-time into a button. Midi may be exported or imported.
Ease of Use:
The learning curve depends on whether you want to use midi tools with the chord/scale generators. Getting familiar with most controls may just be a matter of playing with them, however there are supporting features that require you to follow the tips. On the window help docs, the controls are defined in list format. The 'Undo' button undoes/redoes any control clicked to modify harmony or rhythm, so that makes it really easy to check everthing out. Whatever the curve is for you, I believe its well worth it if your serious about creating music.

This is my product. Using the product has definitly made me a better musician. forget about errors, it has none.

Suitable for all skill levels of guitarists
Features:
The most important feature is how it uses input chords to modify the output list of chords. starting with a library of 1200 chords, the input chords will limit the output if they can be combined with each of the outputs to result in another chord from the library. input chords are optional as well as the other features which further limit the output such key(s), having/not-having notes, modulate and so on. the output is also color-coded showing subchords, extensions, and chords which modulate. there is also documentation and interactive guitar and piano graphics.
Ease of Use:
A lot of the development was done in order to make the product easy to use. the help documentation can be context sensitive. there is a learning curve to using all the usefull tricks such as double-clicks and speed menus, and the note and name colors require looking up - just press the F1 key. the product can be used on different levels (some features you may never use) so the learning curve can vary.
