This is my main guitar. I love it. I would definitely buy it again if it were stolen, if I could find another one. This guitar has no bad points.
Model Year: 1994
Price: $900.00 (new)
Where Obtained: Alpha Music. Virginia Beach, VA.
Features:
U.S. made, hawian koa body, birdseye maple neck, 24 frets, rosewood fretboard, 1 volume, 5 way selector switch, 2 DiMarzio humbuckers, and a Floyd Rose.
Playability:
Superb action and feel. Nice thin, fast neck. Flawless feel. Before I bought it I compared to Ibanez and ESP. I like guitars with a 25.5" neck scale. My Charvel made Ibanez and U.S. made ESP's fell very inferior.
Sound Quality:
I run this axe through a Mesa Boogie Nomad 55 and a Marshall Bi-Chorus 200. I use an A.R.T. SGX 2000 for effects, and can get any tone I need. I play a variety of styles from Metal to Funk and this axe can handle anything. Tone is not as good as my Les Paul but is not as hot either which makes tone tweaking eaiser.
Durability:
I gig with this axe regularly. It is very much a workhorse. I have it professionally set up (because of the Floyd) about every 6 months.
