Update: this site has moved to Kronosonic.com and is now named "Gtr Oblq" ------------------------------------------------

Great site but, I must admit, I'm biased. The site operator is (or was until recently) my guitar instructor. Tons of lessons on avant garde technical guitar with focus on a handful of players such as Vernon Reid and Shawn Lane among others. Lots of free music to download, a really good forum (so good in fact that the Chops From Hell site now directs people to it rather than using it's own any more), lots of articles, theory, bla bla bla, I could go on. Check it out for yourself. But hang on tight. It's a wild ride.

This is a very great site and has many great lessons that are very technical and experimental, many great links to other resourceful pages, the only problem I found was that is was a little disorganized and the layout was a bit confusing.

This site has everything the shredder needs to get started. Not only lessons on the physical aspects of playing the guitar but great articles as well as philosophical approaches to playing. An original at wholenote.com, I always considered the creator of this site quite eccentric. Avante-Garde is a very good term to coin this site and its author. Check it out.
