Fates Warning has been one of my favorite groups since I was a teenager (like 15 years). Jim Matheos continues his tradition of writing the deepest, most heart rending lyrics and music once again with Disconnected. Ray Alder's voice is as strong as ever, and his melodies are unbelievable. Mark Zonder once again amazes me with his unique drumming style. Overall this album has a very modern sound, even venturing into electronic stuff. Highlights include "Something From Nothing" and the melancholic masterpiece "Still Remains"

Once again Fates has delivered the best/most overlooked album of the year.

This band keeps pushing ahead in the Progressive Metal feild The songs have more of a rock edge on this release, A well thought out concept once again. Drummer Mark Zonder is a machine, some of the timmings he uses are just awsome. Jim Matheos, guitaring and song writing just keep getting better and better. Ray Adler sings like a bird. just a truly awsome band
