Going to trade it in on a taylor
Model Year: 2002
Price: $245.00 (new)
Where Obtained: Walles Music
Solid Top Fender Squire Acoustic. Natural in color and solid top
Action is hgher than Eric Clapton was in his earlier days. Tried playing it, but my fingers were bleeding by the end of stairway to heaven.
Great tone. Real bad fret buzz on the higher end
Think twice about playing it in front of a crowd
Martin Acoustic...If it were lost or stolen...I would replace it with one like it for the time being. But the Martin D-15 Acoustic/Electric is a dream for the future. Whenever I can afford it. I'm saving little by little. I am not what some people would call well off. My treasures in life are my family and friends.
Where Obtained: music stroe
Guitr was make in Korea
Standard frets ...steel 6 string
no controls. Natural finish
Prefererred action obtained...thinner neck. Plays very well and there are no flaws or marks on the guitar
Play a lot of country. Just learning to pick out notes. has a great strumming sound for the price ...nice bass.
Would like to purchase a Martin Acoustic in the future
Does not fare too well with climate ...neads a little tuning every once in a while but so do all guitars. Truss rod has been adjusted once since i've had it. About 4 months
I didn't look at many others: too ignorant and too self-conscious.
action is too springy beyond 7th fret
I need a wider neck guitar.
It's a pretty, basic guitar. Good to lean on.
Pretty tone with the right strings. balanced.
I am looking hard at Taylors now
Model Year: 1999
Price: $200.00 (new)
Where Obtained: Jim's Music/Irvine, CA
Made in Korea
non-locking and there's a buzz in the D string when you pluck the open G string.Go figure.
Action is OK
neck is good but I need a wider fingerboard as I have toes for fingers
it's below average compared to the few I've played although light-years better than the 30-year-old Yamaha I'd been playing/avoiding
see buzz on D string above
i ``play'' fingerstyle and some smattering of rock and R&B
sound is warm, a little thin, but louder than might be expected from a low-end model
seems to work best with Elixir strings
Extremely stable after a year-plus
