Back In Black

by AC/DC

(1980) Atco

Description Excellent, solid hard rock recording. Terrific guitar riffs, vocals, and rythm. Brian Johnson's first AC/DC album.

This is one of the best of AC/DC's albums. It probably couldnt be beten unless a greatest hits album comes out. The souaring riffs just make me wanna get of my arse a lay done some riffs on my own guitar. The guitar palying is brillant Malcolm's and Angus's guitar style is promenant throught all of the tracks. A definate MUST for any Rock'n'Roll fan.

Throw away the cans of hairspray. Burn the "Oh, I feel so sorry for myself lyrics". Get rid of the mindless 200 bpm speed licks with no feeling. This album is true rock-n-roll in all it's guts n' glory.

As good as it gets. You can ask for more, but don't expect it from anyone. Everything is just frosting on the cake. The drums, guitars, bass and vocals all blend for powerful real rock and roll. You can have 99 albums on one hand and this on the other. I would opt for the AC/DC at least a third of the time.

Awesome return without Bon Scott...that in itself would add an extra star.

This is the best post-Bon album AC/DC have done. Each track rings with purpose and the screaming Geordie adds something special to what I feel is the best album in their catalogue. From that fantastic tolling bell and the chunky riffs this is a piece of rock history.

Riffs up the wazzo! Want your behind shoved with riffs? get this! Indeed. Many riffs, catchy songs like "She shook me all night long" all together pretty good, though I rarely listen to it. A few too many riffs, for my taste.

"Back in black" is probably my most favorite album. The entire album rocks, not one bad cut."Shoot to thrill" and "Have a drink on me" are absolute killers. The opening of "Hell's Bell's" is the most awesome intro of all time.Buy this record.I wish I could rate it higher than 5.

The first time I heard this album, it scared the crap out of me. Yeah, Bon was gone, but AC/DC was back, and they left no room for doubt. Quintessential AC/DC - belongs in any rock fan's collection.

Bonn Scott, in my opinion, will always be the bands best singer but this album still rocks!

This is an ok record. I listened to it a lot and then got bored with it. I'm not saying it's bad, but it's not great. I would've liked it if there were more drums in the music. The guitar sounded the same throughout the whole cd and the guitar was basicly all you heard. It got old.

Classic album. Ever notice that there isn't a whole lotta drum rolls? and it works beautifully.

This record is probably my second favorite AC/DC alum, only second to Highway to Hell, just because I like Bon alot. I think it is as good as it can be. No mushy ballads, just hard, good time rock. "Hells Bells" has a tremendous riff in the intro, "Back in Black" is pure awesomeness, and "Rock and Roll Ain't Noise Pollution" is as simple and good as it gets.
