I also tried out a Fender Hot rod Precision,I chose the
jazz because of the feel.
Model Year: 2001
Price: $610.00 (new)

It's a mexican made frettless version.I think it is
pretty stanard as far as features.
As a guitar player the fretless is very guitar player
I play it through a Hartke B90
It seems to be right on,no tuning problems or anything.
For me, a guitarist, this bass is fine. i'm not doing any serious playing or lesson-taking, just messing around on it myself. but i can also see why it is so popular among bassists.

This is a standard model of the fender jazz bass, 2 pickups, white pickguard, black body, with 2 volumes and one tone knob.
It's got pretty good action, but since it's used it's not in perfect condition. i'm not a bass player, so i'm not striving for perfection on the instrument. it's also been very good for slapping.
It's got great sound, which was really why i got this bass. the fender jazz bass is, in my opinion, the best sounding bass out there. it has no feedback or anything bad about it.
So far it's been very durable, but i haven't been throwing it around or smashing it or anything. during climate changes, it goes out of tune a bit though.
