Well, I didn't look at many... I was looking for a guitar under C$300 with a black body. There were a few, but this was by far the best sounding. I do believe I would by this guitar again if some nefarious individual would lift it from me (or if I (gasp) lost it).
Model Year: 2000
Price: $249.00 Canadian (new)
Where Obtained: Steve's Music Store, Montreal
Features:
-Made in Taiwan -Neck and bridge are Indian Rosewood, body top is Spruce, rest is Nato -Jumbo body
Playability:
Haven't tweaked things like the action yet... so far it plays like a dream... fret spacing may be more than on other guitars.
Sound Quality:
Damn fine-sounding guitar. And for the price, it is sweet... dude! Sweet! Dude! Sweet! Black finish, deep bass. I just love this guitar.
Durability:
So far I've been able to bring it from home to the office and back with no adverse effects (it's in a good case, though, and it isn't out in our frigid winter weather for more than a few minutes).

I like the way it sounds. But then again, it's the only acoustic I have.

It's had lots of bangs and dents and is still tickin.
