This is a great little P.A. for the small group, duo, soloist with all the features and power you could use. It is portable and extremly easy to set up and use. Since I have been useing the Carvin at gigs, I have had wonderful results in audiance response and being asked back to play again. This system, coupled with EV mics and an ART mic preamp gives me a top drawer sound that lets me concentrate on the preformance and not the gear.
I also run my acoustic guitar through a L.R. Baggs preamp then to the mixer. Killer acoustic sound with huge bottom end!

8 channels each with 3 band EQ, 2 effects send per channel,stereo panning, monitor send, gain switch to increase output signal. The whole thing is covered by a nine band graphic EQ either for left and right channels or for mains and monitors. Digital stereo sound effects...4 reverbs...2 rooms..2 plates..6 echos/reverbs..4 chorus..2 flangers.. all in stereo. 48+ phantom power. Tape return/send. The model I have is 375 watts per side for a wopping 750 watts of raw brute power.
The quality of sound is very good. You don't have to have a lot of rack mount gear to get a nice sound right out of the box. The on board echo/reverb is just right for creating the sonic space around your voice, and the 9 band eq is idiot proof. I run the signal through two 70 lb. carvin 1584 3-way loud speakers.
I had never owned my own P.A. before so I thought it might be a little complex haveing seen what some friends go through at a gig. This thing is as easy as running your home stereo. The only learning curve I had was where to set effects balance and the E.Q. curve.
It was shipped by UPS so I am a little suprised that it works at all! I have had it a little over a year now and have had nary a lick of trouble. The only negitive comment is that the monitor feature does not work and did not right out of the box. I could have had Carvin fix it under warrenty but I never bothered as I don't need monitors for what I use it for.
