This is quite possibly the best live recording of any artist available. The songs aren't nessicarly written around a specific instrument; its almost a jam type environment. The only draw back is the the two CDs have some of the same songs on them, such as Machine Gun. Its a great song on the first CD, but the second version takes away from it. Overall, the CD is excellent.

This is a great CD. If not for the music, then just for the fact the you can listen to a part of history. This performance takes place on New Years Eve during a time when the country was fighting in Vietnam and the Civil Rights Movement was taking place. Jimi's music is amazing. His rendition of Auld Lang Syne just blew me away. This is a 2 CD set and its just great. You should drop what you are doing right now and go to the store and buy it...
