Good guitar, and if you have a hundred bucks lying around, and the means of replacing the tuners, go buy it, you will thank me and yourself, it's a great little guitar. It looks really kewl, and t fits the look and tone of what i like, so i couldn't be happier.
Model Year: 2003
Price: $100.00 (new)
Where Obtained: Guitar Center
Features:
I think it wsa made in china, god only knows what the body is made of, the neck is supposedly mahogany. One humbucker, one tone, one volume, Black finish, LP style body, wrap-around bridge, crappy tuners. Honestly, the tuners are really, really bad. I got martin tuners on it, it cost me $60 to get new tuners put on, the neck bolts tightened, and new strings put on, it was worth it.
Playability:
Plays great. I had a Jackson first, and i love it, but i like the feel of this better. It feels more vintage-ish, more like a more solid guitar. thciker neck, but it fits your hand better than the really really thin ones, it plays great. I have played better guitars, and this hundred-dollar piece-of-crap is great in my opinion.
Sound Quality:
It sounds great alone, but if the cables dont act up I like to use it through an RP50 effects unit, it makes it sound much better than just alone. I had just started messing with surf guitar and punk, and well... generally older stuff when i got this, it's great for whatever you wanna play. Anywhere from a warm, deep tone to a twangy tone (depending on EQ) I have replaced the tuners, and it made a world of difference. My instructor who plays a top-of-the-line Les Paul is actually pondering buying on of these.
Durability:
Its a tank. It takes a beating with me, i've already beaten it pretty good and have had it maybe for three months or so. The strap buttons are small, but i use a funky clear plastic strap that fits really tight, so as long as you dont use a leather strap they'll be fine.

For the price this is the best guitar i have found the only other guitars that i like are gibsons and they are all a lot more expensive and this guitar plays just as good as some of the gibsons because it is made by the same company. this is one of the best guitars i have ever played.
Price: $190.00 (new)

I have the sunburst and it is the best looking guitar i have seen it a while. it has a great shape, great color, a fast full fret board, and a p-90 pickup, which is, in my opinion the best sounding. the only reason its not a five is it only has one pickup
