Is this a Country Gentlemen or a Gretsch or a Guild Rockabilly? nope...but a mustang is not a viper either... Lets look at its price, yep its cool...hate the dice/flames, don't buy it, please play it before you order it...Its a 600 buck semi hollowbody from Korea...a few mods improved it...the dice work ok with me for now, but are an easy mod to change...
Model Year: 2002
Price: $400.00 (new)
Where Obtained: Mars Music (RIP)
Features:
Ok man, just look it up...its all standard, but it does apear that the newer models are upgraded with a licenced Bigsby instead of the Epi Tremelo...and with better tunners...which I belive the original Tuners were crap. Amazing neck...nice finish...
Playability:
The action was great, never planed on getting it, didn't have the 600 to look at it, Mars was having a huge sale, and it was there for 40something% of list...hmmm, after asking some old guy shopping there, (a killer bluesy guy, in his 50's, and could really shread...) to look it over and be very critical, I bought it... Sweet neck, very smooth, hate putting it down...
Sound Quality:
The tone is amazing...pretty flexible... I use it for surf, rockabilly, recording, Praise... The pickup switch err dice goes from real bright, balanced, and darker...the tone knob is never used...makes it too muddy...
Durability:
Ok folks, once again, repeat after me... A Bigsby is not a Floyd...I am just a dumb bassist, but I know the differnce...for mellow cord bends and flutters... Mods: Step One...straplocks...the originals were real nice, but don't lock, so they had to go... step two...crapp tuners had to go...40 bucks later...much more stable... for now thats it...

Price: $1150.00 Australian (new)
Where Obtained: Cranbourne Music (Australia)
Features:
Bridge is good tremelo system is great looks awesome
Playability:
Very hard guitar to play. Not good for a lead guitar player as the high frets are really hard to get up to. Can't get passed the 16th fret comfortably.
Sound Quality:
Sounded okay through a marshall avt 100 but I wasn't really paying attention as the playability was so poor.
