If this guitar were lost I would be suicidal. If this guitar were stolen I would be homicidal. I would replace immediately if I had the bucks. It's a toss up between the sound, worksmanship, and playability. You cannot go wrong with this guitar
Model Year: 1999
Price: $1299.00 drachmas (new)
Where Obtained: Blues Angel
Features:
This rascal was made in Canada by God or some one that works for him.It has rosewood back and sides with spruce top. Ebony fretboard and a tasty inlay on the headstock. No electronics dreadnought with the standard Larrivee hardshell vacuum case
Playability:
Fretboard is like glass. Action like a legacy or a standard strat on the cowboy frets and mid neck. Since its not a cutaway, up the neck is questionable activity. The only flaw in this guitar is the player. I compared it to Taylors, Gibsons, and a friend's Eric Clapton Martin. The Taylor 810 came the closest. The neck on the Larrivee is a little wide, but easy to get used to. It's a benefit when you're a natural fumble fingers
Sound Quality:
I play it through a 100 watt Mesa Boogie,a bad horsey and original tube screamer. NOT
