My favorite aspect of this guitar is its playablility. If this guitar were lost or stolen, I would probably replace it with a D-18. It is a nice sounding little guitar, it just doesn't have the projection and presence of the solid wood guitars in the Martin line.
Model Year: 2001
Price: $760.00 (new)
Where Obtained:
Guitar is very light, and has a satin finish. Top is solid spruce, band and sides are a 3 ply laminated rosewood.
Very playable guitar. Has a very nice action.
Sound Quality:
Very nice sound quality, even though this is a low end martin. Nice balance between bass and treble. The sounds seems to improve the more this instrument is played. Not as loud as my HD-28.
Its a Martin, so its built well. Its definately not as solid feeling as the standard solid wood Martin Models but I haven't seen any obvious durablity problems.
