Boss GE-7 Equalizer

Single-Effect Pedal

Made by Boss

Description The GE-7 has seven bands ranging from 100Hz to 6.4kHz, ideal for guitar sounds, with boost/cut of +/- 15dB per band. This lets you completely control your sound and eliminate unwanted feedback, particularly when connected after a distortion effect.

Just an average pedal in my opinion. I hope this pedals gets stolen, well I will probably pull it out of my closet and dust it off and sell it on ebay.
Price: $45.00
Where Obtained: Ebay
Features:
It is a 7 band EQ pedal that can be powered by AC adaptor or by a battery. Nothing real special about this pedal except that it equalizes your sound.
Sound Quality:
Very muddy tone. I wish this thing were true bypass, but what do you expect from a mass manufactured pedal. I took me a while to get the sound that I wanted, and after I got that I unplugged it and it still sounded better with it out of my effects circuit. It sounds horrible going all 4 of my tube amps. The only decent sound that I have gotten out of it was running through the effects loop of my solid state marshall head. I guess I would rather EQ my sound using my amps and my guitar than have my tone be crapped out by this pedal.
Ease of Use:
It is easy to use although as mentioned before it took a while for me to get a decent sound.
Durability:
Boss pedals are durable, but I wouldn't know about this pedal because I don't use it enough to test it out.

It's a good and easy to use EQ. My distorted tone wouldn't be the same without this one. A fine addition to any pedalboard.
Model Year: 1995
Price: $50.00
Where Obtained: Timbres Instrumentos Musicais
Features:
It's a 7-band EQ pedal, useful to shape your tone. Can be powered with a 9V battery or an ACA AC adapter (12V unregulated -- mine is a pre 1997 model).
Sound Quality:
It does a fine job as an EQ: shapes the tone the way you want it and doesn't make you sound bad. I don't know if the term 'sound quality' applies here, but it's a nice pedal to improve your distorted tones.
Ease of Use:
If you know how to use an EQ, you won't have problems with this unit. If you don't know how to EQ your sound, you can easily experiment with this box. It has only 7 bands; it's simple enough.
Durability:
It's a BOSS pedal. If you don't know them, you must know they have a hard metal box and are built like tanks. They can survive the most aggressive live player.

The best eq pedal you can buy .... period.
Price: $35.00
Where Obtained: ebay
Features:
Seven bands of equalization and a level control. Basic, but effective.
Sound Quality:
Great .... it outperforms any eq pedal I've ever tried. It even rivals my rack mount stuff. Almost transparent when not in use.
Ease of Use:
Do we really need a comment here ?
Durability:
Like all Boss pedals, this thing is bullet proof. It would probly survive a nuclear war.

I don't know how I lived without it. Whenever I play, It is always on, no question. If something happened to it, I would have to buy a new one.
Price: $90.00 (new)
Where Obtained: Guitar Center
Features:
- 7 Band EQ, Level Control - 9 volt battery or AC Power Supply
Sound Quality:
I play mainly metal, and when I first bought this pedal, I ran it from my guitar to my amp. It gave a great improvement on sound, in both clean and overdriven channels. Later, I ran it through my effects loop on my Marshall combo, and it sounded that much better. The clean is much brighter and crisp, and the overdrive sounds much deeper and more full with this pedal.
Ease of Use:
Its an Equalizer. It doesn't take much to get to your desired sound. But if you haven't worked with equalizers either on stereo systems or otherwise, it may present a problem, but nothing that is too big of a deal. Just slide the bars until you get your desired sound.
Durability:
It's a Boss. You could drive a tank over it and it would still work.

This is the best equalizer Ive ever seen in my whole life. Its excellent.
Price: $100.00
Where Obtained: Friend
Features:
With this pedal you can have a complete control in the sounds of your guitar. If you need more bass, its easy, its just put it right the way you want to. It is AC powered, but you can use either a 9V battery. It is perfect.
Sound Quality:
I use GE-7 right after my guitars( strato and floyd rose models) and then I plug in my ZOOM 3030. I think this is the best way to plug the GE-7 with a multi-effect, because this way I have a huge control of the sounds of it.
Ease of Use:
Its super easy to use it,of course, its a equalizer. Thats it.
Durability:
As a BOSS pedal, it is reliable, strong.
