I am not the hugest Ozzy fan, but he sure does pick killer guitar players. Zakk Wylde shines consistently on this disc.
I love the eerie intro to the disc opener, with children's voices and the xylophone-like melody going on. Listening to the words on this track puts the intro into its truly demented perspective (classic!).
The track No More Tears
is just an awesome tune- great intro, great guitar licks (complete with those pinch harmonics that make your hair stand on end), and a blazing solo. To me, that's the peak of the disc. The slower ballads are okay, although I'm about tired of hearing Mama, I'm Coming Home
. Also, the lyrics on many of the tracks aren't all that original (with a couple of notable exceptions), but that's a minor complaint.
Some filler, but mostly great heavy music.
