Very Smooth CD. Lots of texture and the unmistakable sound of Metheny. Bill Stewart is one of todays best jazz drummers and stands out on this disc. Solid and tasteful is always a combination that eludes most drummers, but Bill has his chops down, and his style perfected. A fresh approach to the Coltane classic "Giant Steps" is a select tune from this disc

Awesome album, and yes Metheny is back. but you may feel depressed after listening to this album, because Metheny is so good. but i'll keep practicing.

Is it only me? But does it seem that when Pat Methany is in a trio setting is when he's a monster? This recording will not disappoint!!! Great arrangements and swinging tunes, I particularly dig Wayne Shorter's "Capricorn". Jeeeezzzz, I've got to practice.
