Er, yeah. Go git some.
Price: $0.00 ZAR144.00 (new)
Where Obtained: Andy McGibbon's Guitar World
Features:
I bin using DR High Rollers along with Ernie Ball Regular Slinkys and D'Addario XLs for a while now. Suffice to say that I doubt any string, other than DR Pure Blues strings will grace the rosewood of my PRS ever again. They're bloody marvellous. I use the standard medium gauge strings (.010 to .046), nickel wrap on a round core.
Sound Quality:
I use 'em on my PRS Standard 22 which I invariably play through my Marshall G50R-CD combo. I play everything from rock to blues and even a little jazz on these puppies. Maybe a little too much twang for a real jazz sound, but I usually use my Epi for jazz anyhoo. But for any other genre I'd recommend them with pride.
Durability:
The amount I play, any string is going to last quite well. I wouldn't put these any higher than any other string in terms of durability, but they ain't Elixirs. I don't like Elixirs on my electrics anyway. I've never really experienced problems with strings going out of tune more or less than others. All the strings I use tend to keep pitch quite well.

Great strings for vintage freaks and tone connosiours.I've tried most of the major brands and keep coming back to these. They may cost a few more bones but they're worth the added expense.
Price: $5.50 (new)
Where Obtained: Labradog Music ,Hickory NC
Features:
10-46 Pure nickel wrap and hand-wound
Sound Quality:
These strings sound great on my Les Paul or my Strat. They give the guitar a more "vintage" sound. If you like the guitar tones of the 50's and 60's when string makers still used a higher nickel content you'll dig these strings!
Durability:
The DR's keep their tone as well as any on the market.Reliable and long lasting.

Excellent choice for crisp clear tone.
Price: $6.00 (new)
Where Obtained: M&M Music
Features:
.010 gauge, hand wound strings
Sound Quality:
All DR strings sound beautiful and stay that way for a while. Every now and then you'll get a dead string. The strings have so much raw tone to them.
Durability:
Like I said before, they last a lot longer than a lot of other strings I've used. They stay in tune and are very flexible, and never stiffen up from getting too cold.
