Charlie Hunter rules. This is a beautiful interpretation of the Marley classic.

This is, in my opinion, Charlie Hunter's best album, even though it is a cover of the entire Bob Marley one. he shows off his killer licks on his custom guitar (which i first thought was an organ). the album is listenable without skipping tracks, which is a great quality.

This is an incredibly compelling instrumental album. Charlie Hunter is not your standard guitar player. His 8-string guitar has the range of a bass and conventional electric guitar, with seperate outputs for the bass strings and regular strings. The guitar part is run through a rotating leslie speaker to give him a tone not unlike an organ, through which he comps chords and pulls off killer licks while always keeping the bass part right in the pocket. A strong suggestion and one of my personal favorite albums.
