Californication

by Red Hot Chili Peppers

(1999) WEA/Warner Brothers

Personnel Anthony Kiedis - Vocals; John Frusciante - Guitar; Flea - Bass; Chad Smith - Drums;
Description I think this is te best RHCP album ever. It has many cool songs. On this album there aren't many funky songs (about 2) but the melodies are great.

After a commercial failure with 'One Hot Minute', the Peppers are back with a smash-hit cd. It's all there: Kiedis delivers once again stunning lyrics, Flea... is Flea, Chad solidify the whole thing, and Frusciante's back with all is might to give back to the band the good old sound that made them them famous. The time changed the style a bit thou and you wont find much funky stuff there. Great album anyway!

Pretty good CD. The songs are of good quality. Flea is awesome on the bass!

Most of the songs are pretty much jams, but they sound good!

One of the best RHCP albums . John Frusciante plays once again in Cali, giving a great touch. This is now the beginning of a new era for the peppers

Some songs on this album are pretty sad...

californication isnt all that bad, and neither are otherside and a couple others... when i listen to this cd, though, i skip about half the songs

not worth a 5 in my opinion, that's for sure

Wonderful that they're high powered and not losing it, but the extensive radio play has killed the radio songs which in my opinion were (for the most part) the only good ones from the album. I still like Navarro's style better.
