If you are in the market for an acoustic that you want to enjoy for a lifetime, you can't go wrong with a Collings.
Model Year: 1999
Where Obtained: Fretted Instruments of Birmingham
Features:
Ordered the Style 42 top inlay with the Style 45 neck inlay. Also ordered the 6 point snowflakes on the bridge wings. Wanted a D42 that really had some punch!
Playability:
V shaped neck is comfortable and smooth.
Sound Quality:
Have a great Martin HD28 that can't compare to this Collings
Durability:
I have to go with the benefit of the doubt here, based on some other Collings Guitars that I have seen and played. I've only had mine for about a year.
