Ehemm... If ya have enough cash, go as fast as ya can to music shop and buy it. It is the best effect I've ever played but only for harder music though. IMHO Boss effect are only toys if ya compare them with Death Metal. FX86-B RULEZZZ!!!

I use hand crafted guitar (by myself) and Ripper amp and... IT IS THE BEST I HAVE EVER PLAYED. And believe me, I've played many. Though, I have played on it with my Stratocaster... That wasn't it what I've excepted. But, who cares if this pedal blow my amp up and I run to nearest shop to buy new to play more!
It is REALLY easy to use.
It is a great pedal I recamend it to any one thats looking for the heavies fattes pedal aruond the DOD FX86 is a winner!

I think it is the best pedal ever made it is the one I been wathing for .
I used my DOD FX86 on a Peavey Rage 158 at low volumes the amp duse oright but if you crankit up it starts to fart now I have been useing it with a Peavey Bass amp with one 18" speaker and baby u better belive it sounds extrimely asome
It is rely easy to use u get rely good sound as soon as you plug it in
It has a very good construction it is heavy duty enough for profesional use
Although DOD has a good package design, like the name and controls with names like--RIP, Butt and other stupid ways of saying this is really a crappy pedal in a cool box, this pedal is exactly that--crap. The distortion is very Brittle and the low is mud and the high goes from Zero to scream, with a touch. overall the pedal well it sucks, no gain control what?

Level, Low eq, Mid eq, High eq, what no distortion level control?
This pedal is muddy and raspy, there is no versatility either, try a DOD Grunge or Boss Metal Zone if you want to do more than have annoying rasp. One thing I will say is it sounds better through a solid state amp than a tube amp, but still way too much gian if you play at high volumes. If you are in your bedroom and have the amp so you can barley hear the level this pedal puts out it might be ok
Self Explanatory, HI, LOW, MID, LEVEL.
It is just a cheap DOD, what do you expect
I would get a Marshall Jackhammer pedal if you want extreme distortion. This pedal could work for hardcore or death metal, but anyone who plays softer than Napalm Death will find this pedal a little overkill.
Price: $49.00 (new)

Its a distortion pedal with a little extra kick. 3 eq knobs, step on, step off.
Can you say muddy?
