It's a great video, and shows a really interesting "Harp" harmonic/same note straight....thing....and works things out in his "pattern changey" way. It helped me grasp his overall feel and style. I used it to get his on 'Cliffs Of Dover', and it got me a scholarship audition at Berklee!

This is a good instructional video. At times I wish EJ had a better grasp of what he was doing, theoretically, so he could better explain his approach. For example, his explanation of soloing and scales is based on a "weaving" of minor pentatonic scales together. When you analyze what he's doing it is just the Dorian mode. But undoubtedly, this is a great learning tool and he does a good job in passing on years worth of technical information. His follow-up 2 video set is even better, in my opinion.

Even the most advanced guitaristr can learn something from Eric Johnson's video. It is amazing how he uses all of these techniques to play fast yet oh so tasteful. I love his tone man, and his harp harmonics sound great also. You can benefit so much from this, i can't even begin to tell you.
