I liked their playing, they played beautifully, and they didn't have to play a million notes to say what they were trying to say. I loved the melody on "The Birds and The Bees" and their interpretation of "Summertime". The improv tunes were cool.
A great duet album from two excellent players. this is almost as good of a cd as "Polarity" by Jimmy Bruno and Joe Beck, but it falls just short. but this is definitely one for a good guitar collection
This is the cd that got me into jazz. The improv songs were very inventive and the arrangments of the songs were great. Some of the melodies stayed in my head for weeks. I never liked "jazz" if I can categorize it because it was either loud or there was too much comotion. These songs were subtle and very strong.
Great songs, and great improv. You can hear them playing off each other, they just fed off each others styles and that is a treat for any guitarist especially jazz, so i really liked the cd.
