As much as I love Al DiMeola's work, and each of these player's contribution to Al's prior studio recordings, I don't think that the performances showcased on this album measure up to those prior performances.

If you want to check out DiMeola's earlier stuff, I would recommend Elegant Gypsy or Casino, before recommending this collection. Still, this would be a good recording to listen to if you want to get an overview of Al's early work.

I have this as well. MUST GET! Not only is the guitar playing phenomenal but check out the groups playing, especially the bassist.

This one really sounds like 1980s music (i.e., it can sound dated at times) but DiMeola can really play. Overall, this one is worth the money and I listen to it fairly often.
