I love my fenders. I use em for everything. All styles a possible. They May not be the best for shred etc, but it can still be done for the occasional number, as long as you have the right sound coming out of the amp.
Model Year: 2004
Price: $2700.00 AUD (new)
Where Obtained: Planet Music
Features:
This is the USA Standard 1954-2004 Anniversary Model. Maple neck, Tobacco Sunburst Finish, Vintage pickups etc Leo got it right from the beginning. This is a brilliant instrument.
Playability:
The neck on this guitar is wider than my other fenders. It is silky smooth and has perfect intonation at every fret position - right out of the box. I have not had to do anything to change the setup to suit me. It is the only guitar I have ever played that feels as good as my '76 Tele.
Sound Quality:
I use a Vamp2, Vox AC30TB (greenbacks) with it. It is very comfortable to play and has a very defining classi rock sound.
Durability:
I have had the guitar since June 2004 and to date have done nothing other than change the strings twice and a basic setup check ech time.

This Guitar is sweet to play and it plays better then some of my pre CBS strats ,the kneck is really smoth and fast, it has no flaws what so ever .
Sound Quality:
I use a 1973 fender super 60`s rack mount head all tubes , i play Blues , more of a chicago style playing slow Blues , well suited for Rock , country , sounds are worm and full and sweet , sounds better then my 71 strat and my Lespaul 73 , no mods at this time , not a noisey Guitar what so ever , better for stage and studio rather then playing at home

A real prize, a bit pricey but worth every god damn penny.
Model Year: 1996
Price: $2500.00 (new)
Where Obtained: Guitar Den
Features:
My personal tastes go for the vintage look. Vintage gold tuners, bridge, and tremlo. The finish is absolutely gorgeus and it doesn't have the odd custom look that the flamed strats usually come in. Comes with texas specials that are searing hot. Everything is beautiful on this guitar!
Playability:
Satiny rosewood fretboard just lets your fingers glide across it. It came adjusted for light strings and I use heavy (.13-.62) strings so I hade to make adjustments, but after I made them it felt so natural that I wouldn't part with it.
Sound Quality:
Has nice sparkling clear tones when played clean. Played a jazzy Over The Rainbow over it and it was amazing. Go through the tubescreamer and muff and this baby wails the texas blues like 'ol #1. The Texas special's are hot and searing. Sounds quite good acoustically too, the notes have a good sustain and tone with out amplification.
