Rating: If there's one tab book you're gonna splurge on, this just may be the right one! This book has a buttload of the songs you're gonna want to be able to play acoustic, including lots of good blues stuff, "Tears in Heaven" and the acoustic version of "Layla".
Personally, I have to admit that I have only looked at the blues stuff in here and I generally don't try to learn Eric's solos, focussing mainly on picking up his riffs, but that's enough for any acoustic bluesman! I think that the blues stuff on this album is Clapton's best, better than "From the Cradle".
It was a happy day in the Burger household when I mastered "Hey, Hey", and you really can't criticize "Nobody Knows You When You're Down & Out," "Alberta," "'Fore you 'Cuse Me," or "San Francisco Bay Blues" (the latter especially if you double on kazoo). |
