Classic Ozzy at its best! This album was even better than the his first and the first was good! The highlights on this recording is hearing the maturity of Randy Rhoads guitar playing and his song written ability. It is too bad his life was short lived. I would have loved to see how much further he would have gone!!!
Somewhat like Blizzard of Ozz, but Randy still keeps it original, especially with the song "Diary of a Madman!" I would buy this album just for that song!! A definite masterpiece.
Randy's playing is flawless, but some of the chorus's...well werent the greatest. But other than that the music was just phenominal. I loved all of Randy's playing. I think this record was the best of Randy's work with Ozzy. Randy is much better than Jake E. Lee, in my opinion.
The best album of all time.Randy's playing is much smoother and a little more thought out.his growth in arranging is obvious.the title track is one of the best ever .beautiful layering on guitar.
For old hardcore, this is great!. Nobody figured that Ozzy would come back this strong after having been kicked out of Black Sabbath, but heres the proof!
A great album. much heaveier than Blizzard. but i still think that blizzard is definately the ultimate rhoads album. the solos on diary aren't nearly as good as they were on blizzard mostly because of the lack of time he had to put the record out.
