This is must-have-for-all.It gives an unique style of jazzy rock tunes that makes me nervous for I can play it.Good third note experiments gives a symphonic sound to a particles of the songs.Another proove that JB is avangarde in playing guitar and coposing. If you are exibition-lover,don't buy this, come back for three-four years, when your ears rich adultness in listening.

Jeff Beck really has style. No overplaying or showing off at all. This record combines many different influences and music styles in nice way. This guy also has the ability to make one note sound really good...

This CD belongs in every guitar players collection. If you only have one Jeff Beck CD, this should be it. Someone mentioned it sounding "dated", far from it, this is one of those timeless recordings. This is what Jeff Beck is all about! Beautiful playing and beautifully produced by George Martin.

'Cause We've Ended As Lovers' is problably one of the most inspiring guitar recordings I've heard. Soul (the real one) in favor of flash, substance instead of an inconsequential flurry of notes. Beck says more with a single, sustaining note than many guitar players do in entire careers.

A lot of people and magazines cite 'Freeway Jam' as the best song on this cd, well i don't know what they are talking a bout because i like 'Cause We've Ended As Lovers' a lot more, and his rendition of 'She's a Woman' is great too.

Beck has stated in interviews that he can't stand to even talk about his fusion albums. But they stand up pretty well I think...they sound somewhat dated to me but I don't hurl or anything when I listen to them. Blow by Blow may not be Guitar Shop but JB plays good and imaginate guitar on this album and you could learn a lot from transcribing some of the material found on Blow by Blow.
